SPOT - CONTEMPORARY CAKE ART

A spot of painting, inspired by a well known 20th century artist. This style of cake suits birthdays or retirement celebrations, in fact, any reason at all for a delicious slice of art!

KINTSUGI

This cake represents the Japanese art of Kintsugi. The repairing of a broken object embracing its’ flaws and imperfections, using gold to create another beautiful piece of art.
This cake also features wafer paper white and gold Christmas roses and leaves.
This cake is covered in marbled buttercream and could also be covered with marbled fondant.

CHINESE STYLE LATTICE

This elegant cake, covered with red fondant and a wafer paper Chinese style lattice pattern, is just right for a special celebration. Perfectly completed with the addition of a wafer paper flower.

POTTED ORCHID

This fun cake is based on a potted orchid. This fondant covered vase is a raspberry flavoured sponge filled with buttercream and homemade lemon curd. The soil is crumbled chocolate digestive and the leaves and flowers are made of wafer paper with fondant roots to complete the illusion.
